  • Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center 20 Northwest 1st Avenue Miami, FL, 33128 United States (map)

Join us at the new Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center in Downtown Miami for a curated tour of a selection of site-specific artworks.

We’re thrilled to share that many artists in our Commissioner community, including Edouard Duval-Carrié, Diana Eusebio, Loni Johnson, Morel Doucet, Beverly Acha, and Philip Smith, now have permanent and integrated works on view at the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami Dade Justice Center, the new courthouse in Downtown Miami.

In addition to a program featuring 14 new commissions and major acquisitions, the facility is home to a rotating exhibition from the South Florida Cultural Consortium, an exhibition of Surrounded Islands by Christo and Jeanne-Claude, and over 90 additional works from local and regional artists, fostering discourse, inspiration, and perhaps even hope.

As stewards and champions of the featured artists, it’s an honor to invite you—their collectors and patrons—to a private curated tour focusing on permanent and architecturally integrated installations. A rare opportunity to learn more about the commissioning process and art for public space.

Capacity is very limited, first come, first served. Kindly only RSVP if you are certain that you can attend and feel comfortable with checking-in through security upon arrival.

Part of the Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places collection, these commissions celebrate the role of public art in shaping civic identity and empathy. They are made possible with support from the Art in Public Places Trust, the Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.

Importantly, this collection also comes to life through the stewardship and care of those who believe in artists (read: you), championing their work early in their careers and contributing to their creative growth.
