Rumba party bus, but make it public art. Join us for a top-down tour on wheels, hopping from one site to another and learning about the artists and works that help shape Miami’s visual culture.
This program is open to all members, but capacity is limited first come, first served. Sign up for the 11 AM—1 PM tour, or the 3—5 PM afternoon edition.
Ranging from private commissions and pop-up works, to Miami-Dade County’s Art in Public Places (APP) program, this immersive experience invites members to observe and reflect on what public art reveals about a city’s values, priorities, and evolving identity.
Along the route, encounter public sculptures like Claes Oldenburg’s Dropped Bowl with Scattered Slices and Peels, which transforms everyday objects into monumental reflections on consumption, place, and whimsy. Participants will also view murals and monuments by local artists such as Mark Fleuridor, whose work across from the Children’s Courthouse speaks to identity and belonging; Typoe, whose new mural at Arsht Center imbues color and movement; and Magnus Sodamin, known for his immersive, nature-inspired compositions.
The city is a living archive—where art exists in open spaces that hold memory, resistance, and imagination. See Miami afresh.
