UNTITLED, ART is pleased to invite members of Commissioner to join the fair digitally as its VIP guests at the ninth edition of UNTITLED, ART Miami Beach 2020. The online fair will run from December 2–6, with a VIP Preview on Tuesday, December 1, at 11 AM ET. As UNTITLED, ART is a curated art fair, a strong theme runs through the extensive virtual programming planned for this year’s Miami Art Week. The 2020 edition of the fair focuses on Contemporary Artists from the Caribbean, spotlighting artists and organizations from this region, who are creating innovative and important work across the globe.

On Wednesday, December 2, Helen Toomer, Executive Director of AIRIE will be in conversation with artist Rebecca Reeve about her work with the residency program.

Thursday, December 3, will explore the curatorial theme of Contemporary Caribbean Artists. Jennifer Francis, Executive Director, and Evan Williams, Founder, of the forthcoming Museum of Contemporary Caribbean Art (MOCCA) in Kingston, Jamaica will discuss the project. Additionally, the Caribbean Art Initiative will be moderating a panel focused on curating in the Caribbean.

UNTITLED, ART will also host two live-streamed panels on Friday, December 4. Join artists Ann Gollifer and Joy Gregory for a discussion focused on the meaning of contemporary visual art practice throughout the Caribbean diaspora. This panel is organized by UNTITLED, ART exhibitor Guns & Rain, based in South Africa.

Later Friday evening, join Teorética Costa Rica with Miguel López in conversation with artists Johan Mijail and Katie Numi Usher. The Caribbean artists explore themes of the body, politics, and race, combined with cultural activism to offer a diverse array of Caribbean Art. This panel will be presented in Spanish.

As the weekend begins, on Saturday, December 5, join a virtual studio visit with artist Bernadette Despujols, and associate curator Martin Craciun from exhibiting Uruguay-based gallery, La Pecera.

To conclude the weekend of UNTITLED, ART Miami Beach OVR 2020, cultural partner Fundación Otazu will be the feature of the final program. Guillermo Penso, CEO of Bodega Otazu will be in conversation about the foundation’s mission and scope, as well as the Otazu Art Prize, which has been awarded at previous, terrestrial editions of UNTITLED, ART Miami Beach.
