Please join commissioned artist Antonia Wright and Ruben Millares for a bespoke tour of The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse, a cornerstone of Miami’s contemporary art landscape and a pioneering space in Wynwood long before the neighborhood evolved into the arts district we know today.
In this season’s recurring themes of cycles and world-building, our visit feels especially timely as we consider the current exhibition, featuring Wright and Millares’s Job Creation in a Bad Economy (2010)—a sculptural installation in which they hurl their bodies through walls made of books, using physical force as a metaphor for resistance.
Together we’ll explore the 50,000-square-foot retrofitted warehouse through the artists’ lens, focusing on select works from the art-historically significant presentations spanning Pop Art, Italian Arte Povera, and documentary photography—all drawn from the celebrated collection of Martin Z. Margulies.
This event is reserved for Season Eight members. Please note that RSVP is essential as capacity is limited first come, first served.
Also, we’re thinking of making lunch reservations nearby after the tour. If you’re up for it, kindly email us so we can get a little group together. The menu will likely be à la carte and is not included in the tour.
