Member Mentorship
The future of arts patronage is collaborative and community-led.

Commissioner works to empower all individuals—including those historically excluded from traditional collector norms—to become the memory keepers and cultural stewards of our time.
In an all-new initiative launching in 2027, Member Mentorship is a two- and three-week learning series that transforms opaque aspects of the art world into opportunities for critical conversation, collective thinking, and knowledge-building.
Every session—offered twice per year in the spring and the fall—will focus on a timely topic, ranging from the role of galleries to the impact of secondary markets on artists' careers. How-to clinics, facilitated conversations, and case studies with experts in the field will help us build a deeper understanding of what’s working in the art world and what’s not, sparking ideas on how to shape our own collecting practices and support more sustainable ecosystems.
Sessions will be announced on this page and via our newsletter.
Contribute to Our Vision
We imagine a future for the arts that belongs not to the privileged few, but to the artists and communities that support them.
